Chris Wood joins The Vampire Diaries
Actor Chris Wood jumps diary-based ships from The Carrie Diaries to The Vampire Diaries…
In a curious move, title-wise at least, Chris Wood (who you may or may not recognise as The Carrie Diaries’ heartthrob playwright Adam Weaver), has now landed a role in The Vampire Diaries.
Wood, who’s also had one-off parts in Girls and Major Crimes, will play the recurring role of deceptively normal-seeming Kai, who is purported to have a blend of instability and angst under his cool exterior.
It seems like a decent fit for Wood’s skill-set, especially seeing as his Carrie Diaries role saw him play a loveable sensitive dude with some personal losses and emotional trauma lurking under the surface.
The Vampire Diaries returns stateside in early October this year, with Wood’s Kai first set to appear in episode three.
It’s unclear whether Wood’s love for diaries could extend to Bridget Jones sequels or Chernobyl-set horror films, but we’ll keep you posted as news comes in.
