Steven Moffat has implied that J.K. Rowling may be writing a 'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary short...

Great news for Harry Potter fans and Doctor Who watchers, as we've learned that J.K. Rowling may be writing one of the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary short stories.

Showrunner Steven Moffat heavily implied last night that the Harry Potter author will be writing one of the 50th Anniversary shorts.  In a Q&A session in Edinburugh, Moffat was asked several questions regarding Doctor Who, one of which reallyl caught our attention.

According to Hypable, an audience member asked Moffat whether or not J.K. Rowling would be penning one of the shorts, which BBC previously said would be written by famous "well-known children's authors." But it was Moffat's response which really intrigues us:

"I can't confirm that...right now," Moffat teased, which implies that he will be confirming Rowlings involvement soon.

Rowling was previously invited to write an episode of Doctor Who, but declined. Hopefully, she will be on board for writing a short.
