Jim Carrey to Star In Loomis Fargo, Comedy Heist Film
Jim Carrey (The Mask, Liar Liar) has been cast to star in an upcoming comedy film entitled Loomis Fargo. The film is an action-comedy based on a true story about a disgruntled bank employee, David Scott Ghantt, that plans a heist with three other Southerners and steals $17 million from a Loomis truck, but leaves a slew of evidence behind. Although he left behind evidence, he was smart enough to only steal $50,000--the maximum amount that could be taken across the Mexican border by law without further authorization.
Loomis Fargo will be directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite), and Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn will produce the movie.
The film will begin shooting in February or March 2013.
