The creators of last years episodic video game series, The Walking Dead, is developing a new comic book to video game adaptation. This time, Telltale Games will develop Fables, based on the DC Comics/Vertigo comic book series.
The game will launch under a different name, as to not confuse the title with Lionhead Studios' famous RPG, Fable. The company doesn't have a name for the game yet, but are certain it won't be Fables.
"That's taking longer. But we're definitely in full production on it. We're working hard. It's coming together really well. We'll probably have more to talk about on it pretty soon, with a name and everything else, in the near future," said Telltale CEO Dan Connors.
The series, created by Bill Willingham, follows a group of fairy tale characters living in a secret New York neighborhood.
I have a feeling this game could become wildly popular; it certainly has potential. More comic book to video game adaptations are definitely a welcomed changed from the Call of Duty-esque shooters and plethora of sci-fi titles.
We will keep you posted!
