Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have unveiled a new Superman logo celebrating the superhero's 75th anniversary, and have also announced a short being produced by Man of Steel director Zack Snyder.
“Warner Bros. is privileged to be home to the global Superman brand, which has had an unparalleled impact on popular culture for 75 years,” said Warners CEO Kevin Tsujihara. “We are proud to commemorate this milestone with exciting entertainment across the entire studio and across the globe, ensuring this enduring icon reaches new generations of audiences."
The logo will first be seen on DC Comic's Scott Snyder-written Superman Unchained, coming June 12.
We don't know much about the Zack Snyder short, though, as details are being kept close to home. Snyder is apparently eyeing one continuous shot, without edits, as an ode to Superman's many iterations over his 75 years. Bruce Timm will animate the endeavor.
The short will be first shown at this summer's Comic-Con.
