Claire Donner

Claire Donner graduated from Bard College with a degree in Art History and has since imported that solemn, stiff upper-lipped sensibility to writing and research for cult movie luminaries Roger Corman, Joe Bob Briggs, Joel Silver and William Lustig.
In the literary world, digital comic book distributor comiXology has chosen to overlook the focus of her academic writing on R. Crumb (which is too rude to mention in polite society),and privilege her with a Production Coordinator role in their mission to transport pen and ink to the computer age.
Despite her academic discipline, Claire does not discriminate between high and low brow, nor between fine arts and new media, in her pursuit of powerful pulp production. She co-hosts the way out new wave radio show Negative Pleasure on Newtown Radio, contributes to the alt television project Network Awesome, submits to any zines that don't know enough not to allow it and runs the blogs Donner, Party of One, which aggregates images from psychotronic cinema and comics history, and Never a Tender Moment, which compiles her personal “artwork.”
Despite the disparity of all these sources of inspiration, Claire is still able to assemble a coherent thought now and again, as validated graciously by Den of Geek.
